What is the wisdom behind the narration about Adam and Gog and Magog in the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Rejoice, for there will be one man from among you [who enters Paradise] for every thousand from Gog and Magog"? And where do the people of innovation, the deviants, and the followers of other religions go, based on this hadith? And will a large number of Gog and Magog enter Paradise?

Gog and Magog are among the disbelievers and inhabitants of Hellfire; none of them will enter Paradise. Evidence for their disbelief is the hadith of Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri, which states that nine hundred ninety-nine out of every thousand will enter Hellfire, and one person from the Children of Adam will enter Paradise. Further evidence of their disbelief is their besieging of the Prophet of Allah, Jesus, and the believers, and their belief in overcoming those in heaven. As for disobedient Muslims and innovators among Muslims, and disbelievers other than Gog and Magog, they will also enter Hellfire within the aforementioned number.
