What is the ruling on reading the cup (tasseography), and what is the ruling on others knowing a person's secrets through the cup, and how can personal secrets be protected, and are there specific supplications for that?

Whoever goes to a soothsayer or diviner and believes what he says has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. A soothsayer and diviner is one who claims knowledge of the unseen. So whoever asks him and believes him, while knowing Allah's saying: (Say: None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allah) [An-Naml:65], has disbelieved and must repent and renew his Islam. And whoever believes them without knowing this has committed a grave sin. Reading coffee cups is a type of forbidden divination, and divination often relies on news from devils, who sometimes speak truth and sometimes lie. To protect oneself from their evils, awareness must be spread about the ruling on going to them and believing them, and the falsehood of devils must be clarified. Adhering to Allah and reciting morning and evening remembrances protects from their evils. One must also firmly believe that all benefit and harm are solely in the hand of Allah.
