For how long may a new Muslim remain with his non-Muslim family who fight against his Islam, while he is their sole provider? What is the ruling on him eating food prepared by his wife? Is he obligated to financially support them? Is he required to undergo circumcision? What advice can be offered to him?

The greatest blessing Allah bestows upon a servant is guidance to Islam. Therefore, one should remain steadfast upon it by showing the convert the virtues of Islam through kindness and benevolence. This also includes comforting them with stories of the prophets and righteous individuals and their patience, and explaining the gravity of apostasy and the dire fate of its perpetrator, all while observing wisdom and prudence.

Furthermore, it is necessary to gradually introduce them to the rulings of the Sharia and to educate them on adhering to them without alienation.

He must separate from his non-Muslim wife. If she embraces Islam during her 'iddah (waiting period), she returns to him; otherwise, the marriage is annulled.

He may remain with his family if he feels secure about his religion, treating his wife as a foreign woman. However, if he fears for his religion, he must leave them. There is no harm in consuming halal food prepared by his wife.

He is not obligated to financially support his non-Muslim wife. As for the financial support of children when there is a difference in religion, there is a difference of opinion among scholars on this matter.
