A wife is not permitted to work unless her husband approves, and only in non-mixed environments, in a manner that does not hinder her duties, and where she is not feared to be exposed to fitna. A wife must obey her husband by staying at home if he commands her to do so. If she refuses, she is considered nashiz (rebellious), and her divorce in this case is not considered an injustice to her.
