Peace be upon you. What is the interpretation of the verse: "And if there were a Qur'an with which mountains could be moved or the earth could be riven asunder or the dead could be made to speak, (it would be this Qur'an). But to Allah belongs the affair, all of it. Have not those who believed yet known that had Allah willed, He would have guided all mankind? And there will not cease to afflict those who disbelieve because of their deeds a (great) disaster, or it will descend close to their home, until Allah's promise comes. Indeed, Allah does not fail in His promise." (Surat Ar-Ra'd, Verse 31)?

Several interpretations have been given for the verse: "Have they not seen that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders?" (Quran 13:41). These include the conquest of lands by Muhammad (peace be upon him), the destruction of villages, the decrease of their inhabitants and blessings, and their desolation due to the death of their scholars. Imam Ibn Kathir preferred the first interpretation. From a scientific perspective, the verse alludes to the Earth's shrinking and contraction since its formation, the collision of meteorites and their differentiation into seven earths, and the subduction of ocean floors beneath continents due to the movement of lithospheric plates, in addition to the erosion factors affecting landmasses.
