To what extent is the hadith "Egypt is God's 'kinanah' (quiver/treasure chest) on His earth" authentic, and what does it mean?

The hadith "Egypt is Allah's quiver on His earth" has no origin, as stated by many scholars, including Ibn Taymiyyah, Al-Sakhawi, Al-Suyuti, and Al-Albani. The meaning of "quiver" is a case for holding arrows. The narration likens Egypt to a quiver of arrows with which Allah strikes down oppressors through its people. A similar narration has been reported concerning Al-Sham as well. What is authentically reported regarding the virtues of Egypt is the hadith of Abu Dharr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, you will conquer a land where the qirat is mentioned. So, treat its people well, for they have a covenant and kinship." Scholars explained "covenant" as sanctity and right, and "kinship" by the fact that Hagar, the mother of Ishmael, and Mary the Copt, the mother of Ibrahim, were from them.
