Is it permissible for a married man whose parents did not perform an Aqiqah for him to slaughter one Aqiqah intending it for himself and for his expected newborn, and can he delay the Aqiqah for himself?

The 'Aqiqah (sacrificial offering on the occasion of a child's birth) is a Sunnah. The Sunnah in it involves sacrificing one or two sheep for each individual. Participation in it is permissible if it is a camel or a cow. However, if the 'Aqiqah is a sheep, it is sufficient only for one person. It is permissible to delay the 'Aqiqah until circumstances become easy.
