Will a person be questioned about a prayer whose initial time has passed and they died before performing it?

Whoever delays the prayer from its early time, intending to perform it, then dies during its time, does not die disobediently. This is because the five daily prayers are among the expanded obligations, which may be performed in any part of their designated time. Gabriel prayed with the Prophet (peace be upon them both) one day at the beginning of the time and another day at its end, then said to him: "What is between these two is the time." However, performing the prayer promptly at its early time is more preferable, due to Allah's saying: "So hasten to all good things."
