How can a woman pray and recite the Qur’an when experiencing various intermittent discharges, the purity of which she is uncertain about, and when it is difficult for her to perform ablution and change clothes for every prayer?
The vaginal discharge of a woman is pure (tahirah), and it is not necessary to perform istinja' (washing the private parts) from it, nor to wash what it touches of the body and clothes. However, it nullifies ablution (wudu') according to the majority of scholars. For one whose discharge is continuous or whose time of cessation is unknown, her ruling is the same as that of a woman with irregular bleeding (mustahadah) and one afflicted with incontinence (sahib al-salas): she should perform ablution for each prayer after its time has begun, and she may pray both obligatory and supererogatory prayers with that ablution until the time expires or she incurs another nullifier of ablution.
If performing ablution for each prayer becomes difficult, then it is permissible to combine prayers according to the Hanbalis. The Malikis and Ibn Taymiyyah hold that one whose nullifying event is continuous is not obliged to perform ablution for the time of each prayer; rather, her ablution is sufficient as long as she does not incur another nullifier, and it is permissible to adopt this view in cases of hardship.
If something is discharged during sleep, then if you are certain it is semen, ghusl (ritual bath) is obligatory. If it is madhiy (pre-seminal fluid), then purification is obligatory. If it is from vaginal discharge, the ruling is as mentioned previously. If you are uncertain about the discharge, refer to the specific fatwas regarding that.
