Is it possible to see an angel or a saint in a dream, or is it a jinn manifesting in that form? Is it permissible to give money to someone who asks for charity in a dream by placing it in a location where the claimant will not find it? Allah has given the angels the ability to take on different forms, and the Companions saw Gabriel in the form of a man, just as Satan can be seen in the form of a man. If they can be seen while awake, they can certainly be seen in a dream, all the more so. The difference between seeing an angel and Satan in a dream lies in the fact that the angel commands good and guides towards it, while Satan commands disobedience, innovation, or disbelief.
