There is no harm in cutting, styling, or parting the hair, as long as it is not intended to imitate disbelieving women, prostitutes, or men. Rather, it should be intended for lawful beautification for the husband or to ease the burden of hair care and facilitate styling, because a woman is required to adorn herself for her husband, and the wives of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to do so. However, if it is intended to imitate disbelieving women or men, then it is strictly forbidden, due to the severe prohibition against imitating disbelievers and the curse on women who imitate men.
