What is the ruling on a woman cutting the hair from the front?

It is permissible for a woman to cut her hair for adornment for her husband, provided that it does not involve imitation of men or disbelieving women. The evidence for this is that the wives of the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, used to cut their hair until it was like a bun.
