Is it permissible to supplicate with "O Allah, show me the wonders of Your power in provision"?

Supplication (Du'a) is an act of worship, and its conditions are sincerity of intention to Allah and conformity to the Sunnah. Allah commanded us to supplicate and promised to answer, and He forbade transgressing in it. The Sunnah in seeking provision (rizq) is for the servant to ask their Lord for good and blessed provision, not for an abundance of it. For Allah may bless a little more than a lot, and a narrow livelihood may bring closeness to Allah and distance from temptation, due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "By Allah, it is not poverty I fear for you, but I fear that the world will be spread out for you as it was spread out for those before you, and you will compete for it as they competed, and it will destroy you as it destroyed them." And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to ask his Lord: "O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds," and "O Allah, forgive my sin, expand my dwelling for me, and bless me in what You have provided me." As for the saying: "O Allah, show me the wonders of Your power in provision," it is not good, for the wonders of Allah's power are diverse; they may be mercy, or trials, or punishment, like the provision of Qarun and Sulaiman. It is better to ask Allah to provide for one and to bless one in their provision.
