Is it permissible to supplicate during prostration with the supplication: "O Allah, if my provision is in the heaven, then send it down; and if it is in the earth, then bring it forth; and if it is far, then bring it near; and if it is near, then make it easy; and if it is little, then increase it; and if it is much, then bless it for me"? And was it authentically reported from the Prophet, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him?

This supplication (du'a') has not been transmitted from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, but it is permissible to supplicate with it in prostration (sujud) and at other times, as it is not a condition to supplicate only with transmitted (ma'thur) supplications. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say in his prostration: "O Allah, forgive me all my sins, the small and the great, the first and the last, the open and the secret."
