Who were the Companions who reviewed the Qur'an with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, before his death?

No information has been found specifying a particular group of Companions who reviewed the Quran with the Prophet, peace be upon him, before his passing. Scholars have differed in identifying the number and names of the scribes of revelation, as the Prophet would instruct them to write down what was revealed to him in its designated place within the surahs. The Prophet would review the Quran with Gabriel every year in Ramadan, and in the year of his passing, he reviewed it twice. A large number of Companions attended this final review (the Last Recitation). It was this recitation upon which the arrangement of the Quran was based when it was compiled during the eras of Abu Bakr and Uthman.
