What is the text of the hadith that Al-Siddiq used as evidence that the leadership (Imarah) is among Quraish? And does this principle contradict the hadith, "There is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab except by piety"? And what is the virtue of the Quraishi, apart from his kinship to the Messenger? And is it a preference and a choice from Allah?

The Companions pledged allegiance to Abu Bakr as the successor of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and based their choice on legitimate evidence, including: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, appointed Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer during his illness before his death, which they considered an indication of his succession, and their saying: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was pleased with him for our religion, so should we not be pleased with him for our worldly affairs?"

As for Abu Bakr's argument that the caliphate belongs to Quraysh, it is established by consensus and Sunnah. Among the prophetic proofs are: "The Imams are from Quraysh," and "Indeed, Allah chose Kinanah from the descendants of Ismail, and He chose Quraysh from Kinanah, and He chose Banu Hashim from Quraysh, and He chose me from Banu Hashim." Among the consensual proofs is: "The people are followers of Quraysh in this matter; their Muslim follows their Muslim, and their disbeliever follows their disbeliever."

The Companions and those who came after them unanimously agreed on limiting the caliphate to Quraysh. This does not contradict the Almighty's saying: (Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you), as the designation of Quraysh for the caliphate is a choice from Allah the Almighty, and due to their tribal solidarity (asabiyyah) which ensures protection and dominance.

Islam does not differentiate between people based on their races or ethnicities, as evidenced by the brotherhood established between the Quraysh and others.
