However, some scholars believe it does not occur if the wife's intention was to bring about the divorce. If the contingency is repeated, only one divorce occurs unless the husband intended multiple divorces. If one or two divorces occur, the husband may reconcile with his wife. In the event of a dispute over the occurrence of divorce without clear evidence, the husband's statement is accepted. Disputed matters should be referred to the Sharia court. It is advisable for wise people to intervene to reconcile the couple before resorting to divorce.
