How do we distinguish between the intellect that the true religion encourages and the intellect that falls under the sway of globalization?

The intellect is a divine blessing and the basis of religious accountability (taklif). Preserving it is essential. There are two types of intellect: the intellect of taklif, and the intellect of guidance, which disbelievers lack. Islam encourages the use of the intellect to ponder the universe, thereby increasing faith. Most of Islamic law is rationally explicable, and its wisdom can be grasped by the intellect. However, the intellect has limits; it should not delve into the essence and attributes of Allah. Proponents of globalization seek to impose a single Western worldview, eliminating the role of the independent intellect. The Muslim Ummah must therefore cherish its identity and fortify itself against assimilation into other cultures.
