Is it permissible for a woman who has despaired of menstruation to observe her 'iddah in her son's house, especially since she does not reside in the marital home but rather lives with her son?

A woman observing 'iddah (waiting period) after a revocable divorce is not permitted to leave the marital home, nor is her husband allowed to expel her from it, even if they both agree to it, because staying in the residence is a right of Allah. However, if the wife had moved to another house with her husband's permission before the divorce, she should observe her 'iddah in this new house. If her move was without the husband's permission, she must return to the marital home to observe her 'iddah there, unless the husband later grants her permission to observe her 'iddah in the house she moved to.
