I want to know the conditions for my prayer and also my supplication to be accepted.

The first conditions for the acceptance of prayer are the conditions for its validity, which include purity, the entry of the prayer time, covering the awrah (intimate parts), facing the qiblah, and the intention. This is based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "Allah does not accept a prayer without purification." Among the conditions for the acceptance of prayer and supplication are khushu' (devotion) and presence of heart. Allah Almighty says: "Successful indeed are the believers who are humble in their prayers." (23:1-2) Among the conditions for the acceptance of supplication is abstaining from forbidden things in food, drink, and clothing. This is based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying about a man whose "food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothing is unlawful, and he is nourished by what is unlawful; how can such a one be answered?" Among the times when acceptance is more likely are seeking out times of response, such as the hour of response on Friday and the last third of the night. This is based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "When half of the night has passed, Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, descends to the lowest heaven and says: 'Is there any supplicant that he may be given? Is there any invoker that he may be answered? Is there any seeker of forgiveness that he may be forgiven?' until the dawn breaks." Among the reasons for acceptance is having a good opinion of Allah Almighty. This is based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "Allah Almighty says: 'I am as My servant thinks of Me...'"
