The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) possessed great character both before and after his prophethood. Allah the Almighty described him as such in the Holy Quran, affirming that his character was constant and an excellent example for Muslims. He was characterized by mercy, gentleness, modesty, generosity, courage, steadfastness, love for the good of people, and eagerness for their guidance. His purification of people was through action, not just words, as demonstrated in his stances and conduct with his companions and with those who opposed him.
