A woman's gold that is not acquired for personal use and adornment, but rather saved for future needs and unforeseen circumstances, is subject to zakat if it reaches the nisab (85 grams of pure gold) and a full year has passed, because it is considered saved wealth on which zakat is obligatory, whether it belongs to a man or a woman.

As for giving her from zakat, it is permissible if what she owns is insufficient to meet her basic needs for food, drink, clothing, shelter, and medicine. However, if what she has is sufficient for her needs, then she should not be given from zakat.
