Was the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded to stay away from marketplaces, and what is the Hadith reported concerning that?

Authentic hadiths and narrations confirm the dispraise of marketplaces, for "the most detested of places to Allah are its markets," as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said. This is because they are places of cheating, deception, usury, and false oaths, and they can be the battlefield of Satan and a place for hoisting his banner. Therefore, it is disliked for people of virtue and those who are emulated to enter them, especially with the spread of abominations. And whoever enters them must limit themselves to what is necessary and guard against their ill consequences.
