Must you make up the prayers you missed before knowing the ruling on masturbation?

Masturbation is forbidden, and the way to overcome it is by seeking help from Allah and supplicating to Him, occupying one's time with beneficial activities such as remembering Allah, memorizing the Quran, and seeking knowledge, avoiding idleness, keeping company with righteous women, and guarding one's thoughts. If prayers were performed without purity (ritual ablution), then it is more cautious to repeat them to avoid disagreement and to clear oneself of obligation.
