Do the hadiths, such as: "Woman was created from a crooked rib" and "Were it not for Eve, no female would ever betray her husband," indicate a deficiency in women, crookedness in their morals, and their treachery, or do they refer to their emotional nature, and is a woman held accountable for traits she was inherently created with?

We have previously mentioned that discussing the feminine nature does not diminish the status of women; rather, it calls upon husbands to be mindful of it and treat women kindly. The superiority of men over women is a superiority of one gender over another, and a woman may be superior to many men. The meaning of the Hadith "Were it not for Eve, no female would ever betray her husband" does not mean that betrayal is a predetermined fate for every woman, for many women are righteous and chaste, as Allah says: "So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard." (An-Nisa 4:34). The Hadith does not mean that this act is an inescapable fate for women; rather, she is tested in it just like a man, and whoever falls into it will be held accountable. The proof of this is that a man is also tested in it.
