Did Abdul-Muttalib and the people of Mecca know the Prophet Abraham, peace be upon him, and that he was a prophet and the builder of the Kaaba?

Abdul-Muttalib, his sons, and the Arabs in ancient times knew that Ibrahim and Ismail were among their ancestors and that they were the ones who built the Sacred House, as in the Prophet's, peace and blessings be upon him, saying when he saw the image of Ibrahim and Ismail with divination arrows in their hands: "May Allah fight them! By Allah, they certainly knew that they never used them for divination." This is evident in the sermon of Abu Talib: "Praise be to Allah who made us from the progeny of Ibrahim, the descendants of Ismail, the stock of Ma'ad Mudar, made us custodians of His House and guardians of His Sanctuary, and made for us a House visited in pilgrimage and a secure Sanctuary, and made us rulers over people."
