Is there a house built for the afflicted and those who seek reward from Allah (Al-Muhtasib) in Paradise called "Bayt al-Hamd" (the House of Praise)? And what is the ruling on one who abandoned prayer before her death? And is it possible to do something that atones for her abandonment of prayer? And what are the deeds and charities that reach the deceased and benefit them?

We ask Allah to encompass your wife with His vast mercy. She is considered a martyr if she died due to childbirth, based on the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) saying: "And the woman who dies in childbirth is a martyr."

And if you bear the loss of your child with patience and seeking Allah's reward, Allah will build for you a house in Paradise called "Bait al-Hamd" (the House of Praise), based on the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) saying: "Build for My servant a house in Paradise and name it Bait al-Hamd."

As for your wife's not praying in the last part of her life, that is a grave error. What is required of you is to supplicate for her and give charity on her behalf, for that is a recognition of kindness.

And if she had outstanding fasts, then feed a needy person for each day she missed, or fast on her behalf with the permission of her family, based on the hadith of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): "Whoever dies and has fasts due upon him, his guardian should fast on his behalf." The same applies to Hajj, Umrah, and reciting the Quran. However, prayer cannot be made up on her behalf.
