Is the questioner obligated to obey his father in going to Hurghada to collect money from merchants who sell shisha to tourists, knowing that the father works in tourism and owns a papyrus workshop and is preparing an apartment for the questioner and his older brother, and is marriage in this apartment forbidden?

Firstly: It is not permissible to work in selling shisha (hookah) because it is forbidden by Islamic law, and obedience to the father in this matter is not obligatory. Similarly, it is not permissible to work in drawing animate beings or Pharaonic drawings and inscriptions.

Secondly: Obedience to the father is obligatory in collecting debts, unless there is harm in doing so. It is permissible to collect the price of shisha from those who bought it, because if someone receives a forbidden compensation with the payer's consent and has utilized their compensation, the compensation does not have to be returned to them.

Thirdly: It is permissible to accept a gift from the father, whether money or a house, if his wealth is mixed, because dealing with a person whose wealth is mixed is permissible, and there is no harm in accepting his gift or donation.
