How should children be disciplined for prayer?

Children must be commanded to pray at the age of seven and disciplined for it at the age of ten, so that they may practice it and become accustomed to it before reaching puberty. The discipline should be light and not severe, on the back or shoulder, not exceeding ten strokes, and the face should be avoided. It should be for the purpose of discipline and upbringing, and not in front of others. This discipline aims to teach them all matters related to prayer, including its conditions, pillars, and obligations.
