One should not pay attention to the whispers of Satan that distract from prayer and reverence. A Muslim should remove distractions before prayer, such as praying during the children's nap time, leaving them with someone to watch them, or keeping them occupied with play and cartoons. If this is not possible, they should be in the same room with the door closed. There is no harm in glancing to ensure their safety if there is a genuine need during the prayer."
