Is it permissible to eat the meat available in England, based on it being the food of the People of the Book mentioned in Surat Al-Ma’idah, verse 5, while there is meat slaughtered according to Islamic rites sold by Muslims?

Limiting oneself to meat slaughtered by Muslims is safer and more cautious, based on the hadith: "Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt," and the hadith: "Righteousness is that with which the soul feels at peace... and sin is that which wavers in the heart." The meat of the People of the Book is permissible if they slaughter it according to Islamic law, based on the Almighty's saying: "And the food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you." However, if it is slaughtered in a way that is not in accordance with Islamic law, or if it is slaughtered by someone who is not from the People of the Book, then it is forbidden to eat it.
