If water mixes with madhiy (pre-seminal fluid), does the separated water become pure?

The mixing of water with madhy (pre-seminal fluid) can occur in two scenarios: either the madhy comes into contact with the water, or the water comes into contact with the madhy. According to the Maliki school, there is no difference between these two scenarios, because water does not become impure unless its characteristics change. As for the majority of scholars (Shafi'is and Hanbalis), they hold the view that a small amount of water (less than two qullahs) becomes impure upon contact with madhy. If water comes into contact with madhy for the purpose of removing impurity, the correct view according to the Shafi'is and Hanbalis is that the detached water remains pure as long as it has not changed. However, if it has changed, then it is impure by consensus.
