What is the ruling on madhy (pre-seminal fluid) that has been touched by water but has not flowed with it, and is the spot considered pure or not?

"Madhy" (pre-seminal fluid) is impure and invalidates Wudu' (ablution). According to most scholars, only the affected area needs to be washed, and mere sprinkling (nadh) is not sufficient.

Therefore, the spot of the madhy must be purified by pouring abundant water over it until it flows off the limb. If water is sprinkled on the madhy-affected area but does not drip, it is not sufficient for purification. Nadh (sprinkling) is for clothes, not for the private parts.

Imam al-Haramayn and verified scholars held that nadh involves covering the area with abundant water that does not reach the point of flowing or dripping, unlike other cases where the flowing and dripping of water are conditions.

If a person prayed with madhy impurity, being unaware of its presence, he does not have to repeat the prayer, according to the soundest of the two scholarly opinions.
