What is the Sharia ruling on shaving the armpits and pubic area, and is it permissible to pluck the armpits and shave the pubic area, or is trimming with scissors preferable?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, instituted the shaving of pubic hair, the plucking of armpit hair, the trimming of the mustache, the clipping of nails, and circumcision. These are among the natural practices (fitra) chosen by the prophets. It is sunnah (definition) to pluck armpit hair and shave pubic hair, and it is permissible to remove them by any method. It is best to do so every week, and one should not leave it for more than forty nights.
