How can we advise a 32-year-old man who stops praying, claiming it causes him problems, and prefers a life of amusement and remaining unmarried despite his financial capability, so that he may escape this predicament that controls him?
Our advice is to supplicate for your son frequently, to take him with you, and to engage him in beneficial activities that keep him away from places of idleness and amusement. Do not force him into marriage if he does not desire it, for he may not have an inclination towards women. However, if he does have the desire, encourage him to marry and explain its benefits to him. As for prayer, continue to advise him, follow up with him, and supplicate for him. Remind him of Allah, take him to admonition sessions, and give him books and tapes about prayer and the ruling on one who abandons it. Seek assistance from righteous individuals who can influence him, such as the imam of the mosque.
