What is the ruling on wearing a ring inscribed with numbers by a healing شيخ, given its prevalence?

Wearing rings that contain magical symbols and numbers is not permissible, because it is from the acts of sorcerers and falls under the category of forbidden amulets, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever wears an amulet, may Allah not fulfill his need; and whoever wears a sea-shell, may Allah not leave him in peace." The widespread wearing of these rings does not change their ruling.
