The answer

Allah has given man the ability to worship and obey Him, and it is the duty of the servant to seek out the means that assist in this, among them: preserving the obligatory acts and religious duties, avoiding prohibitions, diligently reciting the Qur’an with contemplation, remembering Allah with the heart and tongue (for indeed, by the remembrance of Allah do hearts find tranquility), supplicating to Allah with the reported invocations such as: "O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your male servant... that You make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the dispeller of my sorrow, and the remover of my anxiety," striving to lessen attachment to this world and to attach oneself to the Hereafter, and taking the means that assist in the expansion of the chest, such as keeping the company of the righteous and permissible recreation. There is no harm in visiting a psychiatrist, while being cautious of the deviant tendencies of some doctors.
