The answer

If a man intends to perform Hajj but dies before entering into the state of Ihram, he is rewarded for his intention, and Hajj must be performed on his behalf from his wealth. However, if he dies after entering into the state of Ihram, he will receive the reward for Hajj and will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment reciting the Talbiyah, and Hajj is not performed on his behalf.
