If blood appears after the minimum period of purity (two weeks) and does not exceed the maximum period of menstruation (fifteen days), then it is menstruation that prohibits prayer, fasting, and everything that requires purity from menstruation. It does not matter if the customary period is early or late, or if the amount of blood is unusually large.
