What is the ruling on using a sex toy and on having intercourse with it?

Allah the Almighty said: "And those who guard their private parts. Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors." Among the characteristics of the believers is guarding their private parts from adultery, sodomy, and similar acts, except from their wives and those their right hands possess. So, whoever seeks pleasure for their private parts beyond that, then they are among the transgressors who exceed the boundaries of Allah. Therefore, it is not permissible to engage with sex toys, and one must guard their private parts except from those whom Allah has exempted.
