Does a student's fasting, while in a mixed-gender university, even in classrooms, invalidate his fast?

A Muslim must avoid mixing with women as much as possible due to the corruption that often results from it. If he is afflicted with it, he must lower his gaze from what is forbidden and refrain from unnecessary speech to protect his religion, heart, and private parts. Note that his presence with women in one place does not invalidate his fast.
