Are all the hadiths mentioned regarding the number of prophets and messengers weak?

The hadiths concerning the number of prophets and messengers are not all weak. Rather, some scholars have authenticated what Imam Ahmad narrated from Abu Dharr that the number of messengers is three hundred and something, and in another narration from Abu Umamah that the number of prophets is one hundred and twenty-four thousand, and among them, the messengers are three hundred and fifteen. Shaykh Al-Albani authenticated the hadith about the number of messengers as intrinsically sound (li-dhatihi) and the hadith about the number of prophets as extrinsically sound (li-ghayrihi). Ibn Kathir, Ibn Hajar, and Al-Ayni remained silent about it in their books, which indicates its authenticity to them. Al-Alusi stated that it is sound, and that the weakness in its chain of narration was compensated by supporting narrations (mutaba'ah). He also refuted Ibn al-Jawzi, who claimed it was fabricated.
