The question

What is the ruling on the statement that the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came from a rich ruling family, not a poor one, and that he was not poor? And what is the ruling on analyzing children's drawings? And if there is a lecture about it, what should I do?

The answer

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was not poor, nor was he counted among the wealthy owners of fortunes. Rather, Allah enriched him from His bounty. It is disliked to call him poor because Allah had sufficed him in the affairs of his worldly life. That is why Ibn Kathir said in his interpretation of the verse: (And He found you in need and made you free of want) meaning, Allah enriched you from needing anyone else. This does not contradict the fact that he might sometimes go hungry or borrow, because he would spend what he had, and then Allah would provide for him. Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, combined both states: wealth at times and poverty at other times, thus he demonstrated the generosity of the wealthy and the patience of the poor.
