Is it permissible to combine prayers because a non-Muslim official prevents one from performing them on time?

It is not permissible to obey an official in abandoning prayer, as it is disobedience to the Creator. If disobeying him leads to dismissal from work, and the Muslim cannot find another job and is harmed by this, then there is no harm in combining the two prayers that share a time, according to some scholars. He should, however, search for an alternative job where he can perform each prayer at its designated time.
