What is the fate of a child who dies before reaching the age of accountability in the life of the Barzakh, and will he be subjected to the trial of the grave, its torment, and its compression? Will he intercede for his family? And where will he reside if it is indeed Ibrahim (peace be upon him) who is responsible for caring for them?

The compression of the grave is common to every deceased person; if anyone were to be spared from it, Sa'd ibn Mu'adh and this child would have been spared.

Scholars have differed regarding the questioning of children in their graves:

1. First Opinion: They will be questioned. Their evidence for this is that the prayer for a child includes supplication for protection from the torment and trials of the grave, and that Allah perfects their intellects so they may know their status and be inspired with the answer.

2. Second Opinion: They will not be questioned. This is because questioning is for one who has comprehended the Messenger and the One Who sent him, and a child lacks discernment. Furthermore, the torment of the grave for a child is not a punishment for a sin; rather, it might be pain that befalls them due to others.

As for the place of deceased children, they are in Paradise under the care of Ibrahim (peace be upon him), not in the seventh heaven, and they will intercede for their parents on the Day of Judgment.
