What happens to children after death? Can a deceased child hear or see her parents speaking to her or visiting her grave? And where can she be seen on the Day of Judgment?

Scholars have unanimously agreed that Muslim children who die before puberty are in Paradise because they are not held accountable. This is supported by legal texts, such as the Hadith: "No woman among you who loses three of her children but it will be a shield for her from the Hellfire." A woman among them asked, "O Messenger of Allah, or two?" He repeated it twice, then said, "And two, and two." As for a deceased child hearing and feeling those who visit them, they are like any other deceased person; there is no evidence that the deceased sees those who visit them. Children will be gathered with all people on the Day of Judgment, and in Paradise, parents will reunite with their children. If the children are of a lesser status, Allah will raise them to the status of their parents, honoring them, as Allah Almighty says: (And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith – We will join them with their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything from their deeds). Parents must observe patience and seek reward from Allah when losing a child, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When a servant's child dies, Allah says to His angels: 'You have taken the child of My servant?' They say: 'Yes.' He says: 'You have taken the fruit of his heart?' They say: 'Yes.' He says: 'What did My servant say?' They say: 'He praised You and said: 'Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return!' Allah says: 'Build for My servant a house in Paradise and call it the House of Praise.'"
