Will a child who drowned at the age of 7 be held accountable in the grave, and what will be his fate in the Barzakh and the Hereafter? What will be the condition of children in the Hereafter in terms of their living, food, and drink, and will they be suspended in lanterns between the heaven and the earth?

A child who has not reached puberty will not be held accountable on the Day of Judgment, as the pen has been lifted from him. The children of monotheists who died before puberty are in Paradise under the care of Abraham, peace be upon him. The proof for this is that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The newborn is in Paradise," and he said: "Their little ones are the da'amees (small, active creatures) of Paradise." Muslim scholars have unanimously agreed that Muslim children who die enter Paradise because they are not held accountable. One who drowns is a martyr, based on the Prophet's saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "Martyrs are five: the one who dies of plague, the one who dies of an abdominal disease, the one who drowns, the one who dies under a collapsing building, and the martyr in the way of Allah Almighty and Majestic."
