The answer

The rabbit is permissible to eat if slaughtered according to Islamic law, because it was reported that some companions hunted a rabbit, ate from it, and sent its thigh to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he ate it. Its skin is pure and permissible, and there is no harm in wearing a coat made from it, unless it is for arrogance and haughtiness, or it is a garment of fame, or for adornment in front of non- men. However, wearing it for adornment for the husband, or at home, or among women, is not objectionable.
