Is it permissible to remove excess hair from the middle, upper, and lower parts of the eyebrows (al-tayrish) without altering their shape, and is this considered contrary to al-Nams, which is the complete plucking of the eyebrows and drawing on them?

The forbidden namṣ (plucking) is restricted to plucking the eyebrows, which is the view of the Hanbalis. However, the Shafi'is and Malikis hold that the prohibition includes removing eyebrow hair by all methods (plucking, shaving, cutting), because it is altering Allah's creation, and this is the more correct view. Removing all or part of the eyebrow hair is forbidden except in two cases. As for taking from the hair located between the eyebrows, it has a different ruling.
