Is it permissible to curse wealth, especially if it distracts from obedience to Allah and leads to the unlawful and disobedience, or is it impermissible in all cases?

The belief that this world is of little consequence and that good lies in learning and acting upon the religion is true, as Allah Almighty says: "Say, 'The enjoyment of this world is little, and the Hereafter is better for him who fears Allah, and you will not be wronged even of a fatīl (a fiber in the date seed).'" (An-Nisa 4:77). Everything that aids in obedience to Allah and His remembrance is not part of the blameworthy worldly life; rather, it is good. Allah Almighty said: "Indeed, We revealed wealth for the establishment of prayer and the giving of zakat," which indicates that wealth is praiseworthy if used in obedience to Allah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade cursing wealth or supplicating against it, lest it coincide with a moment of acceptance (of supplications). If a Muslim sees someone preoccupied with wealth to the detriment of obedience, he should advise him. If he fears that he himself might be tempted by it, he should seek refuge in Allah and ask Allah to make it a means of assisting him in His obedience. There is no harm in earning a livelihood, and if wealth comes from a lawful source, it should be used in obedience to Allah, maintaining kinship ties, and helping the poor, for it is among the good things of this world.
